A whole lot of planning had been put into this and I would like to thank all parties responsible for the walk. It has been dang long since i last had some open space in front of me. So i decided to embark on this journey, of course with a couple of my friends who came along.

1800hrs: We met at Serangoon interchange and took the bus to Jalan Kayu.

1830hrs: Dinner at Mad Jacks. The food pics are all not uploaded as they were captured using my handphone camera. I will upload them the next time i transfer documents from my phone to the PC.

2000hrs: After a very full dinner, the group of us headed out towards Seletar Camp. We passed the original camp entrance. The Boundary had been shift back and now compromises of the East And West Camp. It is absolutely astonishing to find out from laurence that RAF Seletar was the biggest airbase outside of the UK during its prime.

2100hrs: After a darn long walk from the main camp entrance and pass the housing estates of the british officers in the past, we finally reached Seletar airport.

We saw alot of private jets and amongst the planes, a Chinook under maintenance in the ST hangar together with a EC 120 colibri.

I am sorry as capturing images of aircraft is prohibited. I didn’t want to risk a coffee session with the ISD so i didn’t try.

2200hrs: After a short stop at the terminal building, we made our way out towards the outer boundary of the airfield. I cant imagine how big the original camp was. We walked all the way out to the initial gate of the airfield, and we were not even halfway out to the original camp main gate.

2300hrs: Passing by seletar country club, and west camp road, we finally reached Yishun Dam. What can i say, i honestly didn’t expect much people but it was packed on a Saturday night! With couples, families and some car and bike nutters. Some of them even had a BBQ session on the Dam!

2315hrs: After a short break and ice cream for the rest of the team, it was time to move again. Our next stop was Northpoint SC. The route would take us along Yishun ave 1, fight at the first junction and pass the ring road and finally to Northpoint SC.

0015hrs: Finally at Northpoint, we took a break at the 24hrs mac and then planned on what to do. We initially planned to explore Seletar airport. But when we realised that we were walking fast and hit Northpoint before time, we decided to carry on and make sembawang beach our ending point.

0030hrs: After a quick break yet again, We started our second half of our journey. This time the route would be much easier, 2 straight roads all the way to the end.

0300hrs: We finally reached sembawang beach and it was time to spread the ground sheets for a break before the first bus arrives at 6! While the rest slept, i couldn’t. All i did was to stare at the stars and be on my own.

0600hrs: We took bus 882 out to Sembawang MRT and had breakfast before saying our goodbyes.

0830: I am finally home, reading the Sunday times while waiting for my hair to dry.

I would like to thank the group below for their effort and sportsmanship.
